Minimum depth of field - image bank:

Minimum depth of field - image bank:

In the image above the use of blurring helps to portray minimum depth of field. this is shown here with the closet part of the fence being more in focus than the part furthest away. This allows the depth  to be clear in this photo in terms of the fence.

The way that depth of field has been used in the image above and below is by focusing on the object in the centre of the frame and blurring the background behind it. This is a effective way to show the importance of an object in a setting as you can single out the object as well keeping it in its natural setting.

In these two images above and below the use of burring on the objects in the background of the photo has helped to make the depth of field more clear. In the image above this has worked by making the purple flower look as if its higher than the pink flower making the depth of field look as if you looking down.  In the image below the pool balls in the background are blurred so that the focus is on the one in the centre of the frame, the depth of field is effective here as its makes the distance seem more obvious between the ball in focus and the balls out of focus.

In the image above the use of shadow helps to how the use of depth of field. The use of shadows from either side helps to focus on the centre of the image, as well as making the left side stand out more than the other. This is done to make the body of the hamster show depth in the image.
